Born in New York City, Jeff Brown has worked on the editorial staffs of The New Yorker and the Saturday Evening Post, and his stories have appeared in these magazines and many others. Mr. Brown is the author of several other books about the Lambchop family, including Flat Stanley, Stanley and the Magic Lamp, Stanley in Space, Stanley's Christmas Adventure, and Invisible Stanley, all published by HarperCollins. Scott Nash is cofounder of Big Blue Dot, a design studio specializing in children's products and media. He has illustrated many children's books, including Betsy Who Cried Wolf by Gail Carson Levine and Saturday Night at the Dinosaur Stomp by Carol Diggory Shields. Like Stanley Lambchop, Scott is the oldest child in his family, which is why he had so much fun illustrating this series! He lives with his wife, Nancy, also an artist, and their very sweet dog, Bear, on Peaks Island off the coast of Maine. Is Stanley flat again!? Stanley Lambchop has had his share of unusual adventures. But being flat was one thing he thought he was through with forever. Then one morning, he discovers he was wrong. Still, there is so much that a boy who is only one inch thick can do that a round person can't. Maybe this time, all it will take is one amazing event for everything to finally make sense. It has been nearly 40 years since the debut of 'Flat Stanley, ' the story of how a bulletin board first fell on Stanley Lambchop, an ordinary boy, and transformed him into a flat hero. Finally, in this long-awaited sequel, the boy with two-dimensional tendencies embarks on all new adventures. Full color. |
