Description/Notes
The members of the Lambchop family react differently when a boistrous genie grants their wishes for fame, power, and the ability to fly.
Born in New York City, Jeff Brown has been a story editor and assistant film producer in Hollywood. He has worked on the editorial staffs of The New Yorker and the Saturday Evening Post, and his stories have appeared in these magazines and many others. Mr. Brown is the author of several other books about the Lambchop family, including Flat Stanley, Stanley in Space, Stanley's Christmas Adventure, Invisible Stanley, and Stanley, Flat Again!, all published by HarperCollins. Scott Nash is cofounder of Big Blue Dot, a design studio specializing in children's products and media. He has illustrated many children's books, including Betsy who cried wolf by Gail Carson Levine and Saturday night at the Dinosaur Stomp by Carol Diggory Shields. Like Stanley Lambchop, Scott is the oldest child in his family, which is why he had so much fun illustrating this series! He lives with his wife, Nancy, also an artist, and their very sweet dog, Bear, on Peaks Island off the coast of Maine.
Genie on the loose! Stanley Lambchop has found a real magic lamp with a genie inside! The genie tells Stanley he can wish for anything in the world: fame, a magical pet, superpowers-you name it. When Stanley's family finds out about the genie, they have some wishes, too. But the more wishes Stanley makes, the stranger his own life becomes. Oh, poor Stanley!
